Our story begins in 1972, when pioneer Orlando Cordella acquired the magnificent Tenuta di Triboli. In 1998, Maddalena Cordella took roots into the company, succeeding her father and renewing the passion and dedication for a land which has always been fertile and generous. The Estate is located on the gentle southeastern slopes of the Montalcino hill, which is well-known for the production of the renowned Brunello di Montalcino wine, and near the suggestive village of Torrenieri, where you can find Podere Meleto (home to the Winery), the Aldo’s @ Cordella Winery Restaurant of the Cordella in Montalcino Wine Resort and the private Reserve for the Hunting and Harvesting of the White Truffle of Crete Senesi. In 2017, the estate expanded with the acquisition of Podere Borgasso, Cordella in Val d’Orcia Truffle & Olive Oil Resort, only 4 km away from the main estate. All set in a landscape of absolute enchantment among lush vineyards, flourishing olive groves, majestic cypress trees and the rolling Tuscan hills, which are the iconic symbol of the Val d’Orcia Natural and Artistic Park.
Nestled in a breathtaking landscape, we have created a unique food and wine experience: our 2,500-square-metre winery, where the art of winemaking meets cutting-edge technology, crafts over 250,000 bottles per year. Our selection includes the renowned Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, the distinctive Rosso di Montalcino DOC, the elegant Rosato IGT Toscana, besides the exclusive products such as Grappa di Brunello, Grappa di Brunello Riserva and the Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Each bottle is the result of a meticulous selection of grapes, mainly Sangiovese Grosso, and production processes that respect both traditions and sustainability.
The wide range of the Azienda Cordella’s products also includes a rich cereal production, with over 150 hectares of land dedicated to growing different types of grains like durum wheat, einkorn and emmer wheat. These are transformed into pasta and flour, among the many traditional products that are available for purchase directly at the estate.
